A very rare photograph (as strict security was in place at the time preventing all reporters and cameramen from obtaining access which was strictly forbidden for some unknown reason). I  managed to photograph MALLARD in the Doncaster Works paint shop undergoing cosmetic restoration prior to going on display in the NRM.
